Pretty Girls on
Tobacco Pins
These magnificent pins were a series of pinback buttons that were giveaways with packs
of cigarettes. I believe these are from the 1900s. All are celluloid pins with amazingly
vibrant, beautiful artwork of pretty ladies of the Victorian (perhaps Edwardian) era. Of
the ones that we had in our collection, none had the original cardboard inserts or
pinbacks, so no way to identify which cigarette company issued these.
These pins were larger than most tobacco pins, measuring 1-1/8 inches across.
